Anomalochromis thomasi
Origin: West Africa – Nigeria, Cameroon
Geographic Range: Slow-moving streams, ponds, and swamps in the region.
Diet: Omnivore; Accepts high-quality pellets, live or frozen foods such as brine shrimp, daphnia, and small worms.
Average Adult Size: Around 2-3 inches (5-7.6 cm)
Sexual Dimorphism: Limited sexual dimorphism; males may have slightly longer fins, and during breeding, both sexes may display more vibrant colors.
Minimum Tank Size: 20 gallons for a pair, larger for a community
Temperament: Generally peaceful, but males can be territorial, especially during breeding. Keep in pairs or small groups in a spacious tank with hiding spots.
