Origin: Lake Tanganyika, Africa
Geographic Range: Rocky shorelines and crevices of Lake Tanganyika
Diet: Carnivore; High-quality pellets, live or frozen foods such as brine shrimp, small fish, and insect larvae.
Average Adult Size: Around 4-5 inches (10-13 cm)
Sexual Dimorphism: Minimal sexual dimorphism; males may have slightly more extended fin rays.
Minimum Tank Size: 30 gallons for a pair, larger for a community
Temperament: Territorial and can be aggressive, especially during breeding. Maintain in pairs or a single-species tank.
