Diet: Carnivorous; primarily feeds on small fish and invertebrates.

Preferred Water Parameters: pH 8.0-9.0, Temperature 75-82°F
Minimum Tank Size: 55 gallons
Acceptable Tank Mates: Other Tanganyikan cichlids and similarly sized fish. They can be territorial, so provide plenty of rocks and hiding spots to create distinct territories. Avoid keeping with overly aggressive or much smaller species.
