Description
Geographic Range: Native to the Orinoco River basin in South America, primarily found in the upper Orinoco River and its tributaries.
Diet: Omnivorous; feed a varied diet including high-quality flakes, pellets, and live or frozen foods such as bloodworms, brine shrimp, and daphnia.
Average Adult Size: 10-12 inches (25-30 centimeters)
Minimum Tank Size: 75 gallons for a small group; larger tanks are recommended for a community setup.
Temperament: Generally peaceful, but can be territorial during breeding or if crowded. Best kept in a species tank or with other peaceful community fish.
